More on point guards, combo guards and personality

As a follow-up to the comments about my blog, "Can your combo guard run the point?" I added another blog on my other site titled, "Point Guard Play and Perceptual and Cognitive Skill Development." I was also interviewed by Blazer's Edge about the article generally, but Jerryd Bayless specifically.

If anyone knows any research - books or articles - pertaining to personality characteristics, please let me know in the comments. Also, if anyone has any anecdotal stories, I am curious. I have debated this with several people and am more and more interested in the topic.

GREAT BLOG! I am just trying to bring out the best in you, and that was truly one of the best articles I have read on any subject. Maybe it was because it was written for me to convert to your thinking, but I have converted. Yes, you have changed my stubborn mind.

By personality, I assume you mean selfishness?

If a player won't be a team player, he's selfish. Pine time will usually cure it. Everyone can be taught to see the floor, understand the game and pass to the open man. Those who refuse just need to go play for someone else.
